It doesn’t matter if you’re a Paradox Veteran tons of their games on your Steam account or a newbie to their games in general, Stellaris is a grand strategy game that is sure to be a very deep experience. With its beautiful visuals, deep exploration mechanics, inspiring soundtrack and intriguing mysteries, Stellaris is bound to make you boldly go where no man – or woman – has gone before. Buy Steam accounts. Developed by Paradox Development Studio, makers of the Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis series takes on the new frontier of space by throwing their hat in the ring with the multitude of other space simulators.
But with the already crowded space sim category, how does Stellaris set itself apart from the rest of the games that were obviously inspired by the grand daddy of them all, Master of Orion 2?
Steam Account Value: A Rich Universe in Stellaris
Stellaris is a 4x grand strategy game. In this vein, it is quite similar to how pretty much most of their games play, but to give a different example, it’s akin to the like of Civilization. But what truly sets it apart from the others is how obscenely customizable everything is in the game, as well as being an open ended RPG with no real linear paths to victory. With its open sandbox universe, no playthrough is ever the same.
The true highlight of Stellaris is how events occur all around the universe that give a lot of flavor to the game. Small things like the appreciation of a race of sentient aliens that one could uplift sending their first star fighter to join your fleet. Or interactions with a primitive species that went crazy because one of your observation crews decided to ruin the fabric of their existence and got caught desencding to the planet and getting worshipped as a god.
Then there are those other stories of true science fiction horror like Aliens where you’d unknowingly activate an item in a primitive planet only to awaken beasts to devour your colonies. There are tons of these emergent stories that truly give an authentic feel of space exploration as things from A-Z can happen at any point and at any time. Perhaps the only weakness of the title is that it is still in a barebones phase and can get pretty boring once you find yourself in the late game.
Regardless, I recommend Stellaris to anyone who would like to try out the space simulation for the first time and even to veterans who are looking for something a little bit different. It certainly isn’t bad to have it on your Steam account.
