Difficult Steam Keys for your Steam Account – Part 1

If trends indicate anything, the success of the Dark Souls series proves that hard games aren’t at all a niche market. Throw in some Flappy Bird in there and you will understand what I mean. This is because difficult games feel so rewarding when completed even though there really isn’t a physical component involved. When was the last time you felt the rush of adrenaline and the rewarding feel of endorphins after you’ve conquered a particularly difficult level or boss?

Oddly enough, however, the mainstream market tended to run the way of the casual and difficult games are notoriously *ahem* difficult to find. We looked for a couple of very hard games you can get for your Steam account so that you don’t lap up your sweat before the hard part comes along.

Steam Account: The Five Games

Super Hexagon [$3]

Super Hexagon is a masochistic game. It’s the sort of game that will challenge your own notion of thinking you have decent hand-eye coordination that’s better than the average gamer. When you play this game, you’ll realize how much you actually suck.

The premise of the game is pretty simple: you’re trapped inside a sequence of concentric, collapsing hexagons and the point of the game is to avoid the solid walls that collapse into the center by moving the cursor in the middle to the empt parts. If you’ve ever played the Brawler’s Guild in World of Warcraft, this is pretty much Hexos without the high fantasy trappings.

Borrowing from Dark Souls from a bit; Prepare to die.

VVVVVV [$5]

Remember how hard Super Mario was when you were a kid? What about Contra? Prince of Persia? Or maybe even Metal Slug?

Now imagine if those games didn’t have a jump button. VVVVVV is an odd ball platformer with retro graphics akin to the ones mentioned above that will have you almost punching your screen due to sheer frustration. It’s one of the best platformers ever developed and would be a shame if you didn’t take the plunge into maniacal difficulty.

Again, you can’t jump in the game, but, instead, reverse gravity in a stage to get you through some of the obstacles within its stages. It’s not as easy as it sounds and certainly not so easy to play. This is one hell of a difficult gem of a game that will give you your money’s worth.

With a huge band, the Steam Summer Sale of 2016 kicked off this June 23rd as it Steam tradition would dictate. Tons of games are up for grabs on sordid discounts. Not even AAA titles are safe from the price slashing.

If you haven’t made it a point to browse the game platform’s wares yet, we suggest that you go take a good look now before your the sale ends on July 4. This may be your biggest chances to buy amazing titles such as the Witcher and the Borderlands series to raise your Steam account value.

There are literally tens of thousands of titles to buy and take advantage of the the Steam summer sale with. This does, however, serve as a problem for the more discerning gamer with specific tastes. Due to the massiveness of the Steam marketplace, it can be hard to sift through the crap to find the few gems hiding beneath the dusty veneer of mediocrity.

We have a couple of tips that just might cinch it for you, saving you precious time and, most of all, money.

1. Highlighted Deals

These are normally on the front page of the Steam store and there’s a new one everyday just like on normal days. Always check out the games on highlight as these are the most discounted of any other game, ranging from 50% to 75% discount. Of course, if you don’t find what you like, there’s really nothing we can do there.

2. Steam Smartphone App and Trading Cards

It would be more advantageous to have a better reputation outright due to the 15 day wait before the sale of any unverified trading cards. But selling rare cards or a ton of popular ones in bulk at the start of the sale could yield some interesting profits for you. Remember that you should never buy cards at the start; once the market is saturated with tons of trading cards due to the large influx of games bought and played, that’s when you can go nuts. You’ll most likely get a really good investment with this.

3. Don’t be greedy for more discounts

“What you see is what you get.”

This is a philosophy that Steam’s been adapting more and more with their massive sales like these. Back in the day, you’d get a 33% off sale on a specific game only for it to go even lower a few days later. This time around, the discount found on Steam games in these sales won’t ever go lower until after a few more months, and sometimes, it won’t even go lower. In fact, it can go against you and have a smaller discount compared to the Summer sale by then. Don’t be cheap and just grab a game you like if it’s in the right price range this summer sale.

4. Check the Reviews

So you just found a game that’s only for a dollar. It aesthetically looks good and is your kind of genre. Even for that low price, check the reviews and other third party sources. Take your time before you invest in a game; no matter how cheap it is. Because, if you don’t, you’ll more likely end up with a bunch of crappy games that have no bearing on your Steam account value.

So, this Steam Summer Sale is just as insane as any other Summer Sale, but it may just be the craziest one yet. Late 2015 to early 2016 has been a pretty amazing year for gamers in general with so many good releases like Dark Souls III and a bunch of other games that I really don’t care about. With that said, you know you’re going to hurt your wallet with the tons of games you will want to buy that increases your Steam account value. Steam Account Value Esports: 2016 Capcom Pro Tour Rules

Times are changing in the Esports landscape as other forms of Esports, like fighting games, claw their way up to the top to match the success of MOBAs in the past half-decade. It comes to no surprise that Capcom, the leading game company in the fighting game industry, wants to clean up the standards of their tournaments to match a professionalism we find in sports in general.

Steam Account Value: Less Hype in Inappropriate Conduct

It’s been recently announced that there are a couple of new rules in the Capcom Pro Tour (CPT) for this 2016 that may rub a few wrongly. There are a few new rules that were a long time coming like the banning of swearing within the tournament proper, harassment, collusion and “other types of conduct deemed inappropriate at Capcom’s sole discretion.”

With these new rulings, the “hype” that players like Filipino Champ bring to the table may be sidetracked as they treat these things as types of trashtalk that is a necessity in competitive scenes like this. Of course, they aren’t truly needed, but it does create a dent in what people have come to expect in tourneys these days. Fortunately, remember that this is only for the CPT and nothing more. Capcom, I surmise, merely wants a respectable and professional sport like what the NBA or NFL do (or should do, at least). It naturally follows that this sort of sportsmanship be passed on to the online realm to foster a better attitude and more players playing. Nothing else will ever increase your Steam Account value than that.

Steam Account: No More Gambling in Tourneys

But the biggest blow to the community may be the new ruling on gambling within the tourney. “Gambling of any form is now banned from all events, and violators may be ejected and even banned from the Pro Tour altogether.” This is a serious thing as the fighting game community tends to enjoy the common sidebet and the even more common money matches between players. Granted, I believe this will help the community grow more, at least within the bounds of Capcom’s events and, in part, help the fighting game community in general, but a lot of folks are going to be take aback by this. A lot of the very hype moments in FGC history always had money involved where the stakes were very real and very high.

But, again, this is only for the CPT and, presumably, other Capcom tournaments in the future.

Steam Account Value Pick: Street Fighter V Update

Last March, Street Fighter fans got long-time popular character, Alex, the protagonist of Street Fighter III, and welcomed an old favorite into the roster. With his mix of aggressive melee moves and his powerbomb specials, folks have been busy experimenting with the blonde bruiser for days on end.

But just as we thought everything was cooling down after Alex’s release, a recent announcement by Capcom showed that they’re closing in on the next DLC character, Guile. Guile’s been around since the early days of Street Fighter II and is also one of the more popular mainstays of the franchise. In previous iterations, Guile played as a zoner, keeping opponents at bay with relentless sonicbooms and punishing them for jumping in with his iconic flash kicks.

In SFV, it doesn’t seem like his playstyle is changing much, but as to how Capcom will balance him in a game where turtling is heavily punished is yet to be seen. We’ve seen this change in Ryu due to Daigo Umehara-type zoning is almost impossible now as compared to how godlike it was back in Street Fighter IV. Nash, basically a clone character of Guile originating in Alpha 3, has been balanced in SFV in such a way that he can both rush down and zone when called for. While that change is a welcome addition, it does run the risk of being too powerful as skillfully displayed by Infiltration. So everybody’s pretty curious now with how Guile will turn out.

If you’ve noticed, he’s kept that old Sonic Hurricane super from SFIV. It also looks to have a semi-okizeme property that could possibly be used quite amazingly at the hands of good players. All things considered, Guile will still probably be a charge character like M. Bison because if his sonic booms and flash kicks were made derivative of simple hadouken motions, he might end up too similar to Nash. That is something Capcom wants to completely avoid given their stance on why Sagat is not in the game. Guile will be available for 100,000 fight money like Alex and all future characters. Purchasing Guile increases Steam account value, indeed.

Steam Keys Esports: A Quietly Competitive Japan

Since the early days of the the fighting game scene or any scene for that matter, Japan has dominated the rest of the world with their top tier reflexes, advanced gameplay tactics, and superior reads. However, at the dawn of Street Fighter V, a highly anticipated game by the competitive esports community, Capcom announced that there would be no arcades of the game. The company, instead, opted to focus on crane games as their physical arcade games. But this unprecedented event has Capcom exploring the possibilities, and profitability, of the online market by releasing their flagship game on PC.

It’s relatively strange for a Japanese company to even release on PC due to their stance of extreme support for their console gaming industry, as well as being dissuaded by the dangers of piracy for games like Street Fighter. It’s progress.

Apparently envious of the success of MOBAs that have but a single and easily accessible platform, Street Fighter V is going on the same path. But this makes some people worry that the entire idea of “Japan Vs. The World” may become mere historical context all entirely.

Steam Keys: The Japanese Arcade Culture

Aside from the very Japanese trait of training till you can’t train anymore, the arcade culture of Japan is the biggest advantage it had over the rest of the world. Being able to compete in a tense and pressure-packed atmosphere, as well as exposure to all types of players and their diverse playstyles have enable Japanese players to do so well on the narrower-thinking world.

Without and arcade version of SFV, this advantage ceases to exist, with most challenges between players happening only online. Well, the very idea that single 100 yen you put through the machine of course! That speaks volumes of what it feels like to be in an arcade; you don’t want your money wasted.

Surely, the prevalence of netplay in SFV will greatly make the game, and the genre, much more competitive and accessible to everybody else in the world. Secrets in Japanese gameplay will no longer remain secret. But this does foreshadow an end to an era.

If you’re not familiar with the Guilty Gear series, the game takes place in a dystopian future where technology and magic have been integrated in the daily lives of humanity. With creatures known as Gears, human-looking entities, wars break out in the world of Guilty Gear or some shit.

Seriously, I’ve not much idea on what the story actually is. What I CAN tell you is that it is one of the most hype, fast-paced, technical, and deep fighting games you will ever lay your hands on. With regular air-dash mechanics and a super-fast combo system, the combat in Revelator also features the unique mechanic of Roman Cancelling, enabling players to cancel out their moves or use it as a super-flash to stop time for half a second, just to stuff their opponent’s inputs.

With flashy and stylish graphics, an art design to die for, and a recently added story mode that equates more as a full-blown animated movie, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- is sure to tickle the fancies of casual players and die-hard fans of the series alike.

But what’s more important here is what makes it different from the last iteration of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. For one, Revelator introduces a bunch of new (old) characters in the form of Johnny Sfondi, Jam Kuradoberi, and Dizzy. However, it will also be introducing the new characters of Jack-O, Raven, and Kum Haehyun.

Veterans of the series need not fret, however, because Arcsys has no plans of nerfing or buffing any of the already existing characters, merely adding the new characters to the roster and tons more other content like the mentioned story mode continuation.

No Hype for Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend Steam Codes

As one of those who only owns a PC and not either a Playstation 4 or Xbox, I was anticipating the Steam Codes of Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend. Emphasis on ‘was.’ The hype in me died on the release of BBCPEX in PC because it was a little too late. ‘Little’ late is an understatement. Why? Because Japan.

No, we are not talking about Japan being a First World Country. We are on the topic that Japan gets the first try on the fighting game I am really addicted to but still gets disappointed on the release dates for PC, or even for the consoles. There is already a new iteration of Blazblue out already in Japan arcades like for half a year advanced for them. It is called Blazblue Central Fiction. And now they are just releasing the PC version of Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend? No thanks ArcSys.

My friends and I enjoyed the times when we played BBCPEX in their houses on their gaming consoles. Hands down, the fighting game is still fun but when news broke out that there was already BBCF in Japan, we all suddenly stopped playing in anticipation for the new game. We are pretty competitive in Blazblue and we would only like to play the latest version of the game which is BBCF but Japan is the only place to play the game. So, me, personally, I would not want to go back to Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend anymore. I have watched too much match videos of Central Fiction that I actually forgot how to do combos in BBCPEX.

Steam Codes: Moving On

Sad to say, I think I might consider BBCPEX dead already. Noone wants to play it anymore. It is kind of pointless playing the game competitively as Japanese players, being the strongest Blazblue players in the world, has already moved on to Central Fiction. We, outside of Japan, are just focused on the release of Central Fiction to immediately practice on the game and be competitive on it with the dreams of competing internationally. Sorry Arc System Works. As a PC owner and a Blazblue fan / player, I will not purchase Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend. You should change how you release new iterations / updates of the game in Japan and for the rest of the world.

Steam Codes: Is Street Fighter V Worth Investing On?

Street Fighter V has been release for over a month or two now. Thousands and thousands of people bought the game but have different opinions on the fighting game. So the question is, is Street Fighter V worth investing time on? You don’t have to resort to buy Steam Codes for another game for that one.

“SFV is a great fighting game, awesome gameplay and cool characters but that’s where it stops for me. None of the characters have me interested in maining them. Alex will be the first one in V to get me invested in the game. Gonna main him but until then I just can’t play it. I don’t have a connection with any of the characters when I play. Also, another issue is that while being on PS4, I came from the FPS scene. So all my old friends just don’t play Fighters. So I was hoping to find some guys to play with on PSN. PSN:AxelTheEternal. CFN ID:Siegmund. Thanks.”

Honestly, when Axel mentioned “SFV is a great fighting game”, the main question of “is SFV worth investing time on” was answered. Street Fighter V is a fighting game, enough said. No going beyond that. Adding the “awesome gameplay” he pertained plus the “cool characters”, those are bonuses for a fighting game. In my opinion, if you are not going to compete in tournaments and just a fan of fighting games, then maybe don’t invest too much time on it. But if you have competitive drive like me and winning games against other competitive people is a major high for me, then you need to be breathing SFV every second of your free time.

Street Fighter V will be the first SF iteration I will be playing seriously. I mentioned this because Alex said he has no connection with any of the characters in the game. Yeah true, it will be contributing to your enjoyment if you play the character you have a connection to it but for me, what’s important is you have connection on the game itself. Truth be told, even if you have this insane love for your character, sooner or later, you will be wanting to try other characters as well. Whether it be because you’re sick and tired of your main character or you want to know the strengths and weaknesses of the other characters, the point is, you will be using other characters. So no point on dwelling about having no any connection on any available characters in Street Fighter V.

Buy Steam codes and the game (PSN, Xbox, Steam Codes), train hard, play hard and win many. That’s how you can be sure about investing more time in a fighting game like SFV.
